Walk for the Environment
Every year to commemorate World Environment Day (5th June), the St. Lucia National Trust organises a major national walk which brings many people together to make a bold and supportive statement for the conservation of the environment. Over the years thousands of people have participated.
In June 2000, the Trust introduced a new component which involves preparing a 'Declaration' for signature by all participants and then submitting the 'Declaration' with the signatures to the Ministers of Government and the media.
